This is a great pair of shoes. They do run 1/2 to 1 full size small to American sizes but I found the EU size to be accurate (I am a 9 1/2 US and I purchased the 40). If you have a wider foot, you may also find you need to size up from your EU size as I do have a narrow-ish foot. They felt tight at first, especially in the forward area of the shoe. However, the leather is supple and they quickly stretched to perfection. I love how versatile these shoes are. They look great with jeans, but the detail and toe are dressy enough for business pant suits and more casual dresses. The detail in the leather are nice and make the style so much more than average. If you love special details on a classic like me, then you will love this shoe.
