First off, you will not find this shoe ANYWHERE as cheap as you will on Amazon, and trust me – I researched this a ton! The price can’t be beat, especially for the black pair.
Pro’s: Very stylish, very comfortable on your foot – the top of the shoe is extremely soft, so you could have it on your foot and not even know it’s there, comfortable to stand in – even for long periods of time, easy to take on/off (the band around the foot is also very soft, so nothing on this shoe will “hurt” your foot, as far as the construction goes). The shoe also has great height (just shy of 3 inches), but you won’t feel the height because of the wedge. It only “feels” like you’re wearing about an 1.5 in heel.
Con’s: runs quite small – I’d say a half size to full size small. I’m a 8.5, but I usually order a 9 because I wear thicker socks. This shoe had to be a 9.5 or my toes would get smashed. If you size wrong, your toes will definitely get pinched. Plus, the shoe is so soft that you heel will slip out a bit if you over-size. I also wouldn’t be able to do all-day walking in this shoe. I can walk quite a bit, but not super fast, or super long distances. The sole of the heel is just a tad narrow for me, so I don’t feel quite as stable as I’d like to.
Otherwise, great shoe. I will wear this shoe out fully, I’m sure.
These shoes are very well made, and beautiful. I don’t recommend them if you’re doing a lot of walking. They’re very very stiff and somewhat heavy. NOT good!!!
However, if you’re doing a lot of standing – these are amazing!! They really align the body properly. I’ve never thought of having shoes just for standing, but really, these are the ones.
I am very satisfied with this purchase. I love my shoes and wear them almost every day.
I am on my feet over 7.5 hrs a day straight and needed something light, comfortable and supportive. These beat out the Dankso Professionals I had my heart set on, weighing less and being comfortable- Don’t let the heel fool you like it did to me in-store!
They also stay put on my feet with the elastic around the opening. They are indeed supportive for my arches and keep me at a great posture. I normally am a 7.5/38 and bought these in an 8.5 (after trying 3 sizes in-store). Thanks to Amazon I got them for half the price in an even nicer color. I am hoping the construction will last as everything else seems to be designed practically! Overall I am satisfied; they are what I wanted, and they arrived in Alaska within 4 days!
Having tried on various J-41 shoes and reading the other reviews, I ordered a size larger than what I needed. Still way too small! And, they did not seem to be all that comfortable and the heel was very wide. Had I ordered an even larger size I would have walked right out of them.
Call me disappointed!
