Re-Mix Vintage Women’s Spectator Pump
These shoes appeal to a wide range of people. The FIRST time I wore them I was headed out of town (No Cal to Reno). As I’m packing my car in the driveway, my Silicon Valley computer-guy neighbor drives by. He has said hi to me a few times over the years and that’s about it. But this time he stops his car, rolls down the window, and says in a peppy voice, “I really like your shoes!” Whoa. On subsequent wearings, my dental hgygientist (smart Birkenstock-wearing type) said she liked them. So did a particular relative (won’t name names!)– who has never said a word about my shoes before. Even the cute young checker at Whole Foods said, “Cool shoes.” Now, back to my trip to Reno. I wore them through packing, driving 200+ miles, running to the ladies’ bathroom (because of a freezing rainstorm — in Aug.??) at the rest stop in Truckee; checking into the hotel and schlepping my suitcases to the room; standing on the sidewalk in Reno watching the classic hot rod cars zoom by for “Hot August Nights”; going to dinner; and walking around the casinos — but definitely not gambling as I would rather spend my $$ on shoes.
In conclusion: 14 straight hours of sheer comfort. I paid full price for these shoes (I almost never do — but they perfectly matched a vintage dress I bought, so what could I do?). These shoes are worth every penny and more. Totally love these shoes! P.S. They run true to size and are quality-made of soft leather.
I love these shoes! I already had them in green and couldn’t believe the price (they were less than $60 in a brief amazon moment). My green pair is so comfortable. I get a compliment every time I wear them. I suggest having heel guards placed on them before wearing them to protect the leather on the heel.
I have only one other pair of remix wedges I wear in the summer. I wear them all the time. They make the most comfortable shoes that need no breaking in. These shoes are no exception. LOVE them! The only other shoes I have ever worn that my foot fits so perfectly in from day one are genuine vintage shoes. Remix shoes are very high quality and very well made. You won’t be disappointed!
The shoes are great. They’re very versatile and perfect year round (at least in California). Very comfortable, I wear them while working on my feet for hours. The leather is a little thin, and they did get scratched quickly on the unforgivng sidewalks of Oakland, but hey, nobody’s perfect. They fit true to size.
